Whitewell Hotel Christmas Market

We had a very enjoyable night at the Whitewell  hotel christmas market. Coffee and home made mince pies were served to all the stall holders. Here are some of the items on sale that we still have.
This is a vintage pestal and mortar in excellent condition would look great on a work surface of a modern or farmhouse kitchen.
This is another vintage pestal and mortar. It is very heavy and I believe the wood to be Lignum Vitae which is one of only four very hardwood's which sink in water. It has African style carvings on and is a stunning piece.
This unusual pestal and mortar was sold to a lady at Whalley vintage fair for her sister,s birthday. She gave it to her at the fair and her sister came to me to tell me how pleased she was with it. I must say her comments  brightened my day!

This spherical perfume bottle with a silver top dated 1896 by J.C.Bechtler son and co. It is in very clean condition a selection of other scent bottles are also available as you can see.
Coalport tea set the pattern is 'Caughley Sprays' There are 6 cups and saucers and side plates, teapot, milk jug, sugar bowl and a sandwich plate.

Our day at Browsholme Hall

Our day at Browsholme Hall Christmas market was great fun. We chatted with lots of different people accompanied by the wonderful aroma of mulled wine. look at the dragon plaque in the background it gave the stall a really theatrical look.

Our stall was near the tree and lots of people came to look. Very popular were our vintage tapestries which are partly finsihed  one of them is hanging from the door.
